distinctive beliefs

Like most Christian churches, we hold to fundamental, essential doctrines that Christians have united around for nearly 2,000 years. But also like most Christian churches, we have certain focuses that make us unique. Here are a few beliefs we hold especially dear...

Jesus is the subject

If not for the reality of the gospel—the message of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection—our church would not exist nor have any purpose. We believe He came to boldly reclaim what hell had stolen. To give life. And nothing compares to the Jesus way of life!

Holiness & the Holy Spirit

We are not Pentecostal/Charismatic in the modern sense of worship styles. But we absolutely believe in the Holy Spirit’s power to transform lives from the inside-out! Holiness, we believe, is not about behavior modification but about a fundamental change taking place at the core of who we are.

What we're saved for

We are saved for so much more than getting to go to heaven when we die! In fact, our ultimate hope is resurrection life  in the new heaven & earth when Christ returns and we’re given new bodies like His. But while that resurrection body comes later, the resurrection life begins now and is available to everyone. That’s why our vision states: Find Life, Share Life!

unity

We own the reality that we’ve only begun to sort out all that it means to champion this belief. But unity is so clearly a top priority Jesus has for us. So you’ll find we hold firmly that—in Christ—men and women and people of all races, statuses and backgrounds have equal standing in the church as they do before God. You’ll also find people here from a wide range of churched and unchurched backgrounds, all gathering as one.
